the camera on the galaxy 3 can be said to not be the best 3.15 MP camera in the market. my advice is, better not go for this phone if you're expecting a lot from the camera. the picture taking needs a lot of help from external light. in case the light is facing the camera lens, then dont expect much from the photo you've clicked. also, the moving objects are not captured well. (i also own a nokia 6220 classic and i definitely know how moving objects are captured).
but there is no reason you shouldn't go for this phone just because of an above average camera. i'm sure my earlier posts and the many more coming posts will help you understand better....

ReplyDeleteI have been following your blog for quite some time. Finally i had purchased a Galaxy 3 on 23.10.10 based on your favourable review. Although iam very little versed with the features of the phone(as i graduated from Nokia 5130) i soon hope to go through the user manual & get fully acclimatized with the operations. Sometimes the phone simply does not seem to respond to some of the simple commands like the "go back" button on the front. As regards the battery i fully agree with you that it fails to live up to the tag of being a 1500 mAh battery.

I agree with the fact that the camera of galaxy 3 needs a lot of light when snapping pictures. The other day when it was cloudy I had been to an open place where snapping of photos began in right earnest. As long as it was cloudy the snapped photos seemed to be yearning for light, but when it was a little bright the quality of the images had improved notably.
ReplyDeleteI also shot a video.As long as the video was played in the mobile it appeared of reasonable quality but when the video was transferred to a computer the playback looked awful in KM and VLC player. I cant understand if there was any compatibility issues wrt mobile software and computer.
Verdict : The camera of galaxy 3 is of mediocre nature.
